Carolina Satyr is common statewide. The habitat is shady grassy areas and open shady woods. The hostplants are Common Carpetgrass (Axonopus fissifolius), Guineagrass (Megathyrsus maximus), Orchardgrass (Dactylis glomerata), Basketgrass (Oplismenus hirtellus), Centipedegrass (Eremochloa ophiuroides) and others. There are several broods from March to November. Early Date: March 11 (Colquitt County); Late Date: October 30 (Baker County). Conservation Status: Secure.
