American Lady is common statewide. It occurs in almost any open area. The hostplants are rabbit-tobacco (Pseudognaphalium obtusifolium), woman’s tobacco (Antennaria plantaginifolia), cudweed (Gnaphalium purpureum) and perhaps others. There are three or more broods, from March to December with a few individuals lingering into January. Early Date: March 13 (Forsyth County); Late Date: December 2 (Crisp County). Conservation Status: Secure.
